Explanation

You are hereby summoned to attend the Planning & Licensing Committee meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, 30 September 2025, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Municipal Offices, Marcus Hill, Newquay, to transact the business on the agenda below.

    To take as read and confirm as accurate the minutes of the meetings held on:

    In line with Standing Order 3(e), members of the public may make representations, answer questions and give evidence at a meeting which they are entitled to attend in respect of the business on the agenda of the meeting.


    In line with Standing Order 3(f), the time allowed under this item is 15 minutes unless directed by the Chair.


    In line with Standing Order 3(g), members of the public shall not speak for more than 3 minutes.

    To discuss and make comment on any active consultations in relation to Planning & Licensing matters and to receive feedback/updates.

    Newquay, Barrowfields: Pedestrian Improvements | Let's Talk Cornwall
    Cornwall Council are proposing to build a new footpath along the grass verge between the access road to the Glendorgal Hotel and the junction with Manewas Way, near Lusty Glaze Road. As part of this work, they will also refresh the existing "No Waiting at Any Time" road markings.
    It is also planned to improve two pedestrian crossings. These upgrades will include tactile paving and other safety features. One crossing is on Manewas Way, and the other is on Lusty Glaze Road, which would help  link the two existing footpaths, making it easier and safer for people to cross.
