You are hereby summoned to an ordinary meeting of the Full Council which is to be held on Wednesday 07 February 2024 at 7pm in the Council Chamber, Municipal Offices, Marcus Hill, Newquay to transact the business contained in the attached agenda and associated papers.

    Please note

    • Members wishing to raise a ward or divisional issue, should do so direct with the relevant Cornwall Councillor outside the meeting.
    • This item allows Cornwall Councillors in Newquay to report on updates to live issues or matters of concern and for members of the Town Council to ask questions on those matters reported on.

    It was proposed by Cllr K Towill, seconded by Cllr A Hannan and


    RESOLVED unanimously to RECOMMEND to Full Council to accept the Section 101 Agreement between Newquay Town Council & Cornwall Council – Speed Awareness Signs.

    RESOLVED to approve the figure of £7220 from the Open Spaces EMR for the Tree works required and RECOMMEND the release to Full Council.

    RESOLVED to use up to £3,000 of Newquay Town Council CIL funding reserve towards the extra costs of the Speed Signage. Also, to agree to using Evolis as the contractor for signage purchase

    RESOLVED to agree to item B. and RECOMMEND A. & C. releases from the General Fund and Emergency EMR to Full Council to cover unexpected costs.

    To receive reports from members who sit on outside bodies as well as issues and motions received, in line with Standing Order 9B, from members in relation to Newquay Town Council.


    Discussions under this item are for information only unless specifically listed on the agenda for a decision.


    Any concerns being raised or requests for information should be communicated to the Town Clerk as soon as possible and in good time before the meeting, to ensure they have been afforded the time to look into the matter. Failure to do this is likely to result in the Town Clerk having to note the matter and responding at a later date.

    To resolve that pursuant to Section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to meetings) Act 1960 the public and press leave the meeting because of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.
